Overmolding
The Over-Molding transformation technique, also called Bi or Tri Material, is used for the production of articles in different colors and/or in different materials. The materials, unlike other processes such as Co-injection, do not chemically unite but one covers the other, differing in color.
This process makes it possible to print even incompatible materials (e.g. PC-EPDM) in 2 or 3 colors and/or with different functions, or even rigid materials with soft materials.
In this way, it is possible to obtain objects of specific quality or functionality, such as handles with more grip.
